Politics in theory and practice Jaroslav Bálek

Does politics and history in general develop randomly or are they governed by certain laws? And if so, which ones? Is politics a science or just a series of random events? Is politics an art? What is the proportion of subjective and objective factors in politics and history? And how can this be answered with examples from Central European history, especially Czech history, but also world history? Does morality have a place in politics and its instruments? This publication attempts to answer these and other questions, such as what are the categories of politics, the relationship of political science to other disciplines, the creation of strategy and tactics, the effectiveness of propaganda and relevant ideologies, and the issue of national consciousness. The aim was to keep the book popular and relatively easy to read, intended for a wider audience.
